Greeter

Helping people feel welcome starts when they walk in the door.

It?s not that hard to make people feel welcome ? you just have to do it.

People feel a certain apprehension as they enter and approach the registration desk. They fidget nervously in line.

A helpful ? but clerical ? person behind the table gives them their registration packet. They wander off thinking,?What am I doing here??

As they approach the main doors to the hall, they take a deep breathe. Walking through the doors they hope they?ll see someone they know.

Steve loves to greet people during registration.

He moves up and down the line. Answers questions. Offers chocolates. Acts goofy.

Steve gives individuals a reason to relax – he permits people to smile.

Steve is good at greeting people. For 15 years his job with Bubba Gump Shrimp was to greet people.

Greeting conference attendees helps them feel welcome and think to themselves, ?Hey, this is going to be fun!?

And ? being the guy who greets everyone gives Steve the credibility to be the Host for the remainder of the Conference.

Conference Host is as Conference Host does!?
