
I get that the details are important. Critical. Absolutely necessary.
But when we’re having a conversation about the big picture, please don’t distract me with details. If we don’t get the big picture right, then the details don’t really matter.
In general, I’m more of a big-picture guy than a detail guy. I like dreaming. Strategizing. Setting the course. That is more fun for me. It’s my strength.
So unless I understand the big picture … the details just aren’t that interesting.

Once we agree on the big picture, then we’ll dive into the details. The details are critically important to support the bigger picture.
