Spread the love

One of the most important lessons I learned while being Forrest Gump for 15 years was to show up to work in a good mood.
Showing up in a good mood was not only the most important – it was also one of the toughest parts of doing the job well.
Talking to 1000+ people every day was easy if I was in a good mood … it was difficult to impossible if I was in a foul mood.
My formula for showing up in a good mood was pretty simple – take care of myself physically.
That meant:
- Keep hydrated.
- Stay nourished.
- Get enough sleep.
- Have a fresh haircut.
I’m guessing that formula isn’t too much different for any other job … except maybe the haircut.
