The movie Forrest Gump touched, moved, and inspired people 20+ years ago. The life lessons from the movie are just as relevant today as they were back in 1994. They give the movie it’s timeless nature.
This series is dedicated to listing the many life lessons from the movie that we can incorporate into our daily lives to feel more peace and love … and to live our lives with Gumption.
Give Hope to Others

When Forrest ran across America, he attracted a group of followers. First one man started to follow. Then a few others. And before long, there was a whole crowd following Forrest.
In Forrest’s own words:
Now, for some reason what I was doing seemed to make sense to people … Somebody later told me … it gave people hope. Now, I don’t know anything about that.

The irony is that Forrest himself could not fully explain why he was running. He said, “I just felt like running.” Whatever his motivation for running, one thing was certain – Forrest was committed!
People follow others who are committed. Forrest was committed. His commitment gave hope to others.
What are you committed to?
What are you doing that’s giving hope to others?
