Last week, I introduced my new three-pronged approach to Gumption and the phrase Got Gumption? Get Gumption? Learn to Function with Gumption!.
I also asked the grammatically challenged question, “Do you want to learn to?”
That question is a combination of the following:
- Do you Got Gumption?
- (Do you) want to Get Gumption?
- (Are you willing to) learn to Function with Gumption?
Do you Got Gumption sets the stage and explains what Gumption is … three principles.
Want to Get Gumption asks if you’re willing to go there. You decide and get to make your choice.
Learn to Function with Gumption is the HOW after you understand what Gumption is and after you’ve chosen to let Gumption be your way of being … your way of living.
So now … are you ready to learn HOW to Function with Gumption?
Because living life and your way of being are complicated and ever evolving, learning How to Function with Gumption will be an ongoing and continuous process. But, we have to start somewhere. Today, let’s look at each of Gumption’s three principles and learn to better Function with Gumption. Let’s start with the three Rs … reading, writing, and arithmetic.
- Mindset. How do you think?
- Moxie. How do you get things done?
- Graciousness. How do you interact with others?
Maybe this is why children are taught the three foundational learning tools of reading, writing, and arithmetic, so that they can think, get things done, and interact with others.
Is your reading helping your mindset?
Is your writing helping you get things done with moxie?
Is your arithmetic helping you graciously interact with others?
