The dictionary defines gumption as boldness of enterprise; initiative or aggressiveness; guts, spunk; common sense. Synonyms include: ability, cleverness, enterprise, resourcefulness, spirit, wisdom & wit.
Gumption, as opposed to gumption, goes one step further. My concept of Gumption is simply any action taken to achieve desired results. Gumption follows naturally from a well-formulated and simply articulated goal.
Using the simple stories and inspirational themes of the movie Forrest Gump as a basis, Gumption combines 4 key areas of life with 3 key character traits that allows simple ideas to be turned into amazing success.

The key to turning gumption into Gumption is using all three of the personality traits in each of the 4 areas of life. AND, recognizing that each of the 4 areas of life are interconnected and complimentary to each other. All 4 must be practiced and used with integrity, presence, and receptiveness. Utilizing only 1 or 2 individually will not allow the amazing success that is possible and desired.
