Labor Day marks the end of summer …
It’s time to get back to school.
It’s time to start learning anew.
It’s time to start a new life chapter.
As a child, starting school always seemed a bummer.
The freedom of summer was over.
Unstructured time gave way to classroom bells.
It would be nine months until next summer – an eternity.
Today, I welcome the change.
I like the shift that happens to my thinking as I begin anew.
I’m grateful for the structure this time of year ushers in.
The cooling temperatures that begin like clockwork after Labor Day refresh me.
They invigorate me.
They make me feel alive.
A new life chapter begins.
The journey of life accelerates … and summer will be here in only nine months.
Are you glad for the change that Labor Day ushers in?
What plans are you making for your new life chapter?
Are you ready to get back to school?
