Technical Difficulties

1:05:54
Forrest Gump just starts to give his speech when the general pulls the plug on his microphone. The crowd does not hear his words and start to get restless. At the exact moment the microphone gets turned back on Forrest says, "And that's all I've got to say about that"!
**-- HERE IS THE VIDEO TRANSCRIPT --** Technical Difficulties - And that's all I've got to say about that. Hi ... I'm Steve Weber and today is day #10 of 94 ... Here is the 85th top scene as rated by me for the movie Forrest Gump. Forrest's speech was not heard by the large crowd at the Lincoln Memorial reflecting pool because of technical difficulties. Of course the technical difficulties were caused by sabotage. We never heard Forrest's speech. His words were apparently very moving. But we never heard them. I've given enough talks and presentations to know that technical difficulties happen. It's never fun. But the show must go on. Here's the thing, we can get mad ... or we can just deal with it. Getting mad doesn't make for an effective presentation. Forrest Gump probably didn't even notice that his voice wasn't being amplified. He just said what was in his heart. It takes Gumption to speak from the heart. It takes Gumption to NOT get distracted by distractions. Let's learn from Forrest. Let's be more gump-like. Let's live our lives with Gumption. And that's all I've got to say about that.
