Have You Found Jesus?

Hi, I'm Steve Weber and today is scene 58 of the 94 best scenes from the movie Forrest Gump and we're celebrating this year being the 25th anniversary of the movie. Lt. Dan asked Forrest if he's found Jesus? Gump humorously replies, "I didn't know I was supposed to be looking for him?" That made Lt. Dan laugh. Lt. Dan was in a dark place. There wasn't an easy way out. He was searching, but he probably felt trapped. There wasn't an easy way out. People were telling him to find Jesus ... or God ... but he wasn't yet willing ... or able. It takes Gumption to ask for help from our God. It takes Gumption to look inside ourselves and to realize that we need help from a Higher Power. Do you want to be more gump-like? ... Try asking for help from your God ... try asking the Universe to intervene in your life. Try giving your problems to a Higher Power to solve. Let's learn to live our lives with Gumption.
