So I Went To The White House, Again

1:23:50
Forrest is seated on the bench, reflecting on being invited to go to the White House again, to meet the President of the United States, again.
**-- HERE IS THE VIDEO TRANSCRIPT --** Something special, becomes routine. Hi, I'm Steve Weber and for 15 years I sat on the bench and talked to strangers. One of the hardest parts of the job was to be fully present and make sure each interaction was treated as something special. Today's scene #36 is all about treating something that maybe feels ordinary as something special. We have moments in our lives that are special. The first time Forrest visited the White House, it was special. And I'm guessing that Forrest thought it special the second time he went to the White House. But by the 3rd time Forrest was beginning to think it was rather routine. Meeting with the President of the United States was becoming old hat for Forrest. Something special, had become routine. It takes Gumption to appreciate all of life's moments. It especially takes Gumption to appreciate the specialness of moments that seem routine. Do you want to be more gump-like? ... Appreciate all of life's moments .. Even those moments that seem routine. Let's learn to live our lives with Gumption.
