One of the hardest parts of the job was to be fully present and make sure each interaction was treated as something special. Today's scene #36 is all about treating something that maybe feels ordinary as something special. We have moments in our lives that are special. The first time Forrest visited the White House, it was special. And I'm guessing that Forrest thought it special the second time he went to the White House. But by the 3rd time Forrest was beginning to think it was rather routine. Meeting with the President of the United States was becoming old hat for Forrest. Something special, had become routine.
