Forrest Assembles His Rifle

0:34:01
Forrest takes apart and then re-assembles his rifle in record time.
**-- HERE IS THE VIDEO TRANSCRIPT --** Concentration. Doing one thing at a time and focusing intently on that one thing. Hi, I'm Steve Weber. And today I'm concentrating on scene #32 titled Forrest assembles his rifle. I've created this series of 94 best movie scenes and life lessons from the movie Forrest Gump to celebrate this year being the 25th anniversary of this iconic film. Concentration. That is exactly what Forrest was doing during basic training when he was disassembling and assembling his rifle. Contrast that to Bubba's lackadaisical approach at the same time. Bubba was talking about the shrimp business while he was working on his weapon. His mind was somewhere else. He wasn't focused solely on the task at hand. Forrest demonstrated a high level of concentration while working on his rifle. The last few years the concept of multi-tasking has come under fire. It's hard - or even impossible - to switch back and forth between tasks efficiently. Studies show that concentrating. Staying singularly focused. Is the best way to get things done. Do you want to be more gump-like? ... Stay focused and continue to practice and improve your concentration skills. Let's learn to live our lives with Gumption.
