**-- HERE IS THE VIDEO TRANSCRIPT --** Jenny apologizes to Forrest. She acknowledges that she may have done things to hurt him. Hi, I'm Steve Weber and today's scene #22 is Jenny's apology to Forrest. I've created this series of 94 best scenes with a corresponding life lesson to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the movie Forrest Gump. Here is today's scene. Jenny says to Forrest, "I want to apologize for anything I ever did to you." An acknowledgement of past damages done. She takes responsibility. She says, "I was messed up ... for a long time". The knock on the door interrupts Jenny's apology. We are left with the sense that she had more to say. We sense she wanted to express regret. Ask forgiveness. Promise it wouldn't happen again. Within minutes of Forrest reuniting with Jenny, she offered an apology. She knew that for their friendship to continue and grow, an apology was necessary. Jenny knew that for her own growth as a person, she needed to clean up her past. It takes gumption to clean up your past. It takes gumption to take responsibility for your past actions. Do you want to be more gump-like? ... Clean up your past. Tell those who you did something that you're not proud of ... that you're sorry. Take responsibility. Let's learn to live our lives with Gumption.
