Sometimes There Just Aren't Enough Rocks

1:45:52
We see Jenny walking towards her childhood home. The place that she suffered abuse at the hand of her father. First she throws her sandals, and then she throws a bunch of rocks before collapsing in a heap and sobbing.
**-- HERE IS THE VIDEO TRANSCRIPT --** Sometimes there just aren't enough rocks. Hi, I'm Steve Weber and before we know it there won't be enough scenes left for me to analyze. I've created this video series of the 94 best scenes and life lessons from the movie Forrest Gump to honor this year being it's 25th anniversary. Here is scene #20. As a child, Jenny suffered abuse at that hand of her very own father. The demons that haunted Jenny all her life were most likely the result of that abuse. That house is where the abuse occurred. That house is where the Jenny's demons began. Maybe Jenny was consciously aware of this? ... or maybe Jenny had suppressed those memories so deeply that she was unaware? But seeing that old house was a trigger. The anger that Jenny had bottled up over the years was unleashed in the rock throwing incident. Forrest was wise to let Jenny vent. After all, there was nothing he could do. The demons belonged to Jenny and she had to figure out how to let them go. Sometimes, there just aren't enough rocks. It takes Gumption to get rid yourself of old demons. It takes Gumption to throw some rocks. Do you want to be more gump-like? ... Let go of your old demons. Throw some rocks at the things that need to be let go. Let's learn to live our lives with Gumption.
