A Friendship That's Been Through War Together

2:06:12
After Forrest and Lt. Dan had re-connected with each other, they introduce their finances to each other. They acknowledge each other for being true friends ... friends who literally went through war together.
**-- HERE IS THE VIDEO TRANSCRIPT --** A friendship that's been through war together. Hi, here is scene #19 of the 94 best scenes and life lessons from the movie Forrest Gump. I'm Steve Weber and I've created this video series to honor this great American classic film on it's 25th anniversary. Forrest and Lt. Dan literally had a friendship that went through a war together. Figuratively, they went through a 2nd war together by starting and succeeding in the shrimpin' business. Their friendship surveyed 2 great battles. They battled an enemy and they battled the elements. They survived gunfire and hurricanes. They struggled together figuring out how to survive. And, they both battled inner demons - especially Lt. Dan. And came out on the winning side. Their friendship was of two men who had been through several wars together. Did you see the look Forrest gave to Lt. Dan at the end of the scene? That's the look of knowing. That the look of understanding. That's the look of love ... That can only exist between two friends who have been through a war together. Do you want to be more gump-like? ... Acknowledge the few, special people who you've been through hell together with. Let them know you know. Let's learn to live our lives with Gumption.
