Forrest's Tearful Goodbye To Jenny

2:09:23
Forrest continues to speak to Jenny at her grave. He tells her he misses her and that if there's anything she needs, he won't be far away. As Forrest walks away, a flock of birds fly by. Forrest stops and notices. It's as if the birds are Jenny's Spirit.
**-- HERE IS THE VIDEO TRANSCRIPT --** Someone you love is still a part of you even after their death. Hi ... here is today's scene #13 of the 94 best movie scenes and life lessons from Forrest Gump. I'm Steve Weber and I created this video series to celebrate the 25th anniversary of this classic American film. Forrest tearfully told Jenny as he stood over her grave, "If there is anything you need, I won't be far away." Even though Jenny was in the after life ... and Forrest was still in this life, he felt a connection to her. They were still a part of each other, even after her death. As Forrest walked away, a flock of birds flew by that caused him to stop and notice. Jenny as a child prayed with Forrest, "Dear God, make me a bird, so I could fly far far away." No doubt Forrest remembered praying with Jenny after all those years. Forrest and Jenny were still a part of each other even after her death. It takes Gumption to believe in an an afterlife. It takes Gumption to believe that those you love are still a part of you even when they're gone from this life. Do you want to be more gump-like? ... Believe. Believe in your God. Believe in an afterlife. Believe in the connectedness between this life and the after life. Let's learn to live our lives with Gumption.
